The Fayette County Sheriff's Office operates the Fayette County Correctional Center. Its lobby is at 220 N Industrial Parkway, West Union, IA 52175. The general and non-emergency number is 563-422-6067, and the current jail page lists 563-422-3234. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Call 911 for an emergency.
Choose the office that owns the record:
- For a booking sheet or existing photo, use the county records-request path and contact the agency that created it.
- For a possibly active warrant, consult Wanted Fugitives, then confirm with the sheriff or court.
- For current custody or a recent arrest, check the sheriff roster. Contact police or sheriff records if the person was released.
- For a case or disposition, call the Fayette County Clerk of Court, 114 N Vine Street, Suite 200, West Union, IA 52175, at 563-422-5694. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- For state prison custody, use the Iowa Department of Corrections search. Federal and immigration custody belong with BOP or ICE.

Fayette jail custody does not always mean a Fayette arrest because the facility houses some people for other agencies. Sumner also crosses the Fayette and Bremer county line. Give the full name, event date, agency, and location when asking an office to identify a record.
